Yesterday, Sara and I drove back to Louisiana in her truck, and this morning, we drove back here in two vehicles, with Tovah in Muse Watson. Tovah has never liked riding in the car, so for this long trip, we got her a sedative from the vet. Yesterday, Sara and I packed up virtually all of our earthly possessions -- everything from our furniture, to our books and clothes, to cleaning supplies, to Sable's ashes -- into a BIG, ten-foot moving truck. Yesterday, we started moving furniture around in earnest, and it really freaked Tovah out. We saw a reemergence of the stiff, scared cat we brought home from the pound. Saturday morning was our last session of the temple's religious school for this school year. (I'm kinda sad that it's ending a little early, but also happy that I could be there for the last class of the year.) Today was such a strange day. It was my LAST day at my current job. I've been there for a loooong time, so it's really weird to know that I won't be going back. I'm not sure it's sunk in yet. We're back! It feels so good to be home again, with Tovah curled up on my lap. By some miracle, Sara and I left for Louisiana on time at seven yesterday morning. I really hate the mall. I hate the smell of it and the culture of consumerism that it perpetuates.
